Thank you to everyone who participated at the 2024 Harvard Surgery Research Day! We hope it was an enjoyable and educational experience. HSRD is a wonderful opportunity for researchers across all four HMS affiliated institutions — Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Children’s Hospital, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital— to interact and share their knowledge.
This year’s symposium highlighted the exciting research activities of residents, fellows, faculty and students. Trainees and staff presented work from across the four affiliated hospitals, featuring 16 oral presentations and 130 poster presentations.
Thank you as well to Liane S. Feldman, MD, this year’s HSRD visiting professor and lecturer. Dr. Feldman presented an excellent lecture on the importance of recovery in an Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) program.
